Arbitrations/Mediations

An increasing number of civil and commercial disputes today are resolved through various forms of arbitration and “alternative dispute resolution.” JKLF brings the same advocacy skills to alternative dispute resolution that we bring to our trial and appellate court practice.  Our experience as lawyers who actually try cases and argue appeals provides us with an advantage in arbitration.  Our strength in depositions provides a distinct advantage in arbitration when there is little or no discovery and direct testimony is submitted to the arbitrator.  In arbitrated cases, there is a premium on cross-examination and lawyers who can prove up a case outside the record.  JKLF attorneys also serve regularly as arbitrators and mediators.
