JKLF has an experienced and multi-faceted government law practice.  As local governments are faced with increasingly complex regulatory matters and exposure litigation, JKLF offers a diverse array of talent to serve our municipal clients.  JKLF has experience with local government and understands the broad spectrum of complex issues that our clients face.  JKLF has represented municipalities throughout the State of Illinois in construction disputes, employment matters, insurance disputes, personnel policies, employment contracts, employment actions, real estate and land use matters, grant compliance, constitutional law issues, capital project implementation, legislative counseling, and governmental cooperation and conflict.  JKLF has negotiated contracts with municipalities and numerous unions.  JKLF has been retained as counsel for municipalities throughout Illinois and is currently serving as the City Attorney for the City of Galesburg.
