Jason Johnson specializes in complex commercial litigation, having represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of legal disputes. He has significant litigation experience in state and federal courts with first chair trial experience in multiple jury trials and bench trials. The wide variety of claims that Mr. Johnson handles range from defamation claims to complex commercial disputes.
Mr. Johnson has extensive experience in construction litigation, and has represented many developers, contractors, subcontractors and engineers in both the defense and prosecution of claims involving both small and large construction projects. He also taught the Construction Contracts course as an adjunct professor at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville from 2017 to 2022.
Mr. Johnson is experienced in corporate litigation (including professional corporations) such as shareholder and partner disputes, contested corporate dissolutions and successor liability issues, as well as professional liability. He has significant experience representing both defendants and plaintiffs in products liability actions, and has represented clients in mass actions and class actions in state and federal courts. Mr. Johnson also represents and advises clients regarding employment law matters, and has significant litigation experience involving employment disputes.
